Vaya Partners’ Medicaid service array includes “in lieu of services.” These extra supports are not included in the North Carolina Medicaid State Plan but have been approved by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for use by Vaya Partners as medically appropriate, cost-effective substitutions to State Plan services.
Vaya Partners members have the right to refuse in lieu of services and request the original service instead. We offer the following in lieu of services for eligible Medicaid members:
